Oscar Hunt started with Chris on the road as a travelling tailor, visiting clients at their homes in a 1989 Nissan Pintara. The young and impressionable purveyor of style needed a business card and so “Oscar Hunt” was born of the well-dressed delinquency that got him there: Oscar Wilde and Hunter S. Thompson.

We were built on the idea that getting something made should feel as good as wearing it. Our thing is building very good wardrobes, from weddings to work and everything in between. 

We source fabrics from the world's most respected mills including Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Drapers, Holland & Sherry, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Harrisons of Edinburgh. We also have our own exclusive in-house collection, both classics we keep coming back to and new fabrics we add as we find them. Whatever you choose, you've chosen well.

Visit our showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Hobart, Adelaide or Perth where you can sit down with an affogato or something stronger and talk fabric, fit and details with one of our fitters.

The Pintara is off the road these days, but good wardrobes still start with a conversation.
