Minimalist to Statement: 2025 Cufflink Styles in Australia

While they’re one of the smallest elements in a suit ensemble, cufflinks have the potential to pack a big sartorial punch. Whether it be by adding an added glint of luxury or by injecting a distinct sense of personality to your outfit, they make for the ultimate finishing touch.

However, with so many options available it can be tricky knowing where to start. Cue Oscar Hunt and our guide to cufflink trends in 2025. Here, we give you the lowdown on the ideal cufflink styles to wear for any occasion so that you can always look at the top of your game.

Business attire

When it comes to the best cufflinks to wear with suits - particularly business suits - our advice has always been to stick with classic fabrications. Think either silver or subtle enamel or stone colours that offer versatility.

One of our personal favourite cufflink styles in Australia is the silver knot. Interesting without being ostentatious, this is a piece that works just as well with a plain white shirt as it does with something patterned and pairs with most styles of suit.

Wedding attire

Deciding on your pair of wedding cufflinks is important - not only because you want to look your best on the big day but also because your cufflinks can become a sentimental keepsake.

So, where to start? We suggest beginning with your dress code as this will help streamline your options. If you’re getting married in a tuxedo for example, we would generally steer you towards a classic onyx or mother of pearl cufflink.

Alternatively, if you’re getting married in a suit, you might want to experiment with a bit more colour. Think a striped blue cufflink that could even form part of the ‘something blue’ element of you and your partner’s wedding ensembles.

Classic vs. modern cufflinks

We’ve made reference a few times to the ‘classic’ styles, which may well raise the question of ‘what’s the difference between classic and modern cufflinks for men?’ Ultimately, this comes down to the design.

Generally speaking, classic cufflinks come in more simple, timeless styles and are made with high-quality materials - think a circular design made from silver and mother of pearl. In contrast, modern styles might incorporate more colour or draw on more expressive design elements.
