Best places to wear your new Oscar Hunt suit in Sydney
So, you’ve left our showroom with your very own Oscar Hunt tailored suit… What's next? Figuring out where to take it for a spin.
While for many this might mean heading into the office, we wanted to take the liberty of pulling together some more - ahem - fun destinations you might like to use to debut your newest acquisition.
Here, we provide you with the Oscar Hunt Sydney guide to those spots in and around the harbour city where you can easily find a tailored suit in Sydney to dress the part.
The professional power lunch
While you might be soft-launching your suit with a visit to the office, there’s no reason you can’t show it off about town during lunch hour. Our top selection? Cafe Sydney. Centrally located in Circular Quay but sufficiently elevated to avoid the hustle and bustle, this is an iconic Sydney dining experience with a view to remember.
Our choice of attire? A classic navy two-piece with a crisp white shirt and Derbys. A timeless look - just like the restaurant itself.
Dinner time
It’s evening and whether you’re organising a romantic date or you’re heading to a post-work dinner, dining options abound.
During the cooler months, we don’t think there’s any surpassing Hubert. Tucked underground, this cosy bistro serves elevated French fare alongside stiff drinks and warm service. If you’re flexible on what day to go, be sure to look out for their Magnums and Movies event. Held in Hubert’s very own cinema space at the back of the restaurant, you’ll be treated to a film and a full meal during intermission.
In terms of attire, think French insouciance. A lightly structured suit thrown on over a turtleneck or perhaps a houndstooth blazer over chinos, paired, of course, with signature tassel loafers.
Nightcap
For last drinks, head to Apollonia. Discretely positioned in the basement of the recently reinvigorated Hinchcliff House, you’ll enter via a heavy velvet curtain. The space itself is dimly candle lit with the bar as the centrepiece. Ask the staff for their recommendations and sit back in one of the banquette spots for an ideal end to an evening.
Perfect for after a gala or black-tie event, Apollonia is just as fitting for sporting a tuxedo or smoking jacket as it is a blazer and trousers - it’s all part of the charm.
